This is a full-time position.  Health insurance, sick/personal days, NYS TRS retirement system or NYS Employee Retirement System.

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and qualified School Psychologist, Counselor, or Social Worker to join our student support team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in promoting students’ social and emotional well-being, supporting their academic and behavioral success, and fostering a safe and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school psychologist, and parents to develop intervention plans and strategies that support student needs.

  • Conduct risk assessments and crisis intervention when necessary.

  • Facilitate classroom presentations and workshops on mental health, coping skills, conflict resolution, and other related topics.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of services provided.

  • Act as a liaison with community mental health agencies and coordinate referrals for additional services.

  • Support the implementation of school-wide initiatives that promote positive mental health and social-emotional learning (SEL).

Qualifications:

  • State licensure or certification in Social Work, School Counseling, or School Psychology

  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting is preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with trauma-informed practices

  • Familiarity with IEP/504 plans and special education services

$43,700-$54,381
