School Psychologist, Counselor or Social Worker | 06302025 | This is a full-time position. Health insurance, sick/personal days, NYS TRS retirement system or NYS Employee Retirement System. We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and qualified School Psychologist, Counselor, or Social Worker to join our student support team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in promoting students’ social and emotional well-being, supporting their academic and behavioral success, and fostering a safe and inclusive school environment. Key Responsibilities: -
Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges. -
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school psychologist, and parents to develop intervention plans and strategies that support student needs. -
Conduct risk assessments and crisis intervention when necessary. -
Facilitate classroom presentations and workshops on mental health, coping skills, conflict resolution, and other related topics. -
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of services provided. -
Act as a liaison with community mental health agencies and coordinate referrals for additional services. -
Support the implementation of school-wide initiatives that promote positive mental health and social-emotional learning (SEL). Qualifications: -
State licensure or certification in Social Work, School Counseling, or School Psychology -
Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting is preferred. -
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. -
