Marcus Whitman CSD is seeking a dedicated and qualified TESOL teacher to provide English language instruction and support to multilingual learners. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to equity, cultural responsiveness, and helping students achieve English language proficiency while accessing academic content.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess instruction for English Language Learners (ELLs) aligned with NYSED ENL and TESOL standards (or applicable state standards).

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support language development across content areas.

  • Differentiate instruction based on students’ English proficiency levels and learning needs.

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families.

  • Participate in professional development and school/district initiatives related to multilingual learners.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team, focusing on grades 7-12. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Adapt general education lessons and materials to meet the varying needs of students.
  • Provide specialized instruction in small group and one-on-one settings.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Assess student progress regularly and revise teaching plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and instructional strategies.
