Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral functioning
     

  • Develop and implement Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
     

  • Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students individually and in small groups

 

  • Lead and facilitate Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, ensuring compliance with IDEA and district protocols
     

  • Collaborate with staff and families to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans
     

  • Support the school’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and contribute to data-driven decision-making
     

  • Participate in crisis prevention and intervention, as needed
     

  • Serve as a key member of the Middle School student support team and act as a liaison between school, families, and outside agencies
