Job Description

This is a full-time position.  Health insurance, sick/personal days, NYS TRS retirement system or NYS Employee Retirement System.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker or School Counselor to support students in grades 3-5, including those in special education programs. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with educators, families, and community resources to promote student well-being, academic success, and social skills development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Develop and implement intervention plans in collaboration with teachers and parents.
• Facilitate social skills groups and workshops.
• Support students with special needs in accessing appropriate resources and services.
• Collaborate with special education teams to develop IEP goals related to social-emotional learning.
• Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community services.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development.

Job Qualifications

NYS Certification preferred or license.
