Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral functioning
Develop and implement Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students individually and in small groups
Lead and facilitate Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, ensuring compliance with IDEA and district protocols
Collaborate with staff and families to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans
Support the school’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and contribute to data-driven decision-making
Participate in crisis prevention and intervention, as needed
Serve as a key member of the Middle School student support team and act as a liaison between school, families, and outside agencies
Master’s or Specialist-level degree (Ed.S., M.A., or Ph.D.) in School Psychology
Valid NYS certification as a School Psychologist
Strong understanding of special education law, assessment practices, and behavioral frameworks
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
