Job Description

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that cater to the specific needs of each student.
• Create a safe, engaging, and adaptive learning environment that encourages positive social interactions and academic growth.
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and school counselors to ensure that the educational and emotional needs of the students are being met.
• Utilize various teaching methods and tools, including assistive technology, to enhance student learning and outcomes.
• Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and make necessary adjustments to the educational plan.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on the latest special education practices and resources.
• Maintain accurate records of students' progress, routines, and schedules.

Job Qualifications

Must have or working toward NYS Special Education Certification.
